HON.VITTHALRAO PATWARDHAN UTKARSH ASHRAM SCHOOL, was established in June 1999 under the aegis of the MAHARASHTRA SAMAJ SEVA SANGH founded in Sept.1960 by late Shri vitthalrao patwardhan smt. kusumtai patwardhan & Shri Madhavrao limye Shri Raosaheb oke, educationalist,social reformer visionary .

‘Quest for the best ‘ has been our motto right from the beginning. Changes ,Adaptability & Modernisation in tribal area have been our watchword. Think globally & act locally has been another of our principles. In keeping with the changing spirit and demands of time we have introduced various programmes. The school has useful ties with the cross section of the society,which in turn helps us to align all academic activities & social life of rural & tribal area. Notable persons from different spheres of social life have associated them selves with all significant academic programmes arranged by the school from time to time.

This school is located in the naturaous & beautiful surrounding of sahyadri . Each class from first to tenth standard has separate class room equipped with necessary educational aids . computer lab ,library & science laboratory are the major highlights . Separate hostel facility for girls & boys in the campus of school.

Library :-

Being school in rural area, our library has rich collection of books, reference material for teachers ,dictionaries, audio visual cassettes & CD’s to cater to the divers academic needs of the students.

Sports :-

A well equipped sport department & spacious playground are our assest.

Computer :-

21st century is the age of IT & to make students aware & capable of opportunities . We have established a well equipped computer lab. We have geared ourselves to face what Toffler called ‘the future shock’. We help our students prepare themselves for bright future.

Activites :-

Education helpful in the course of life is provided to students through the real life teaching like gardening .This includes the crops of flowers & fruits, various types of herbal medicine plants which are produced in these gardens. Natural fertilizers like ‘VERMI COMPOST’ are also produced here.Skill development activites are also held at our school i.e. sewing, craft , hair cutting chalk making etc.

This school is committed for the social cause but still it can only do the works in its limits. If people from main stream society will come forward to help the school that will be a real boost in this social cause.
